There are detailed descriptions of each class of locomotive allocated to the shed and of the workings they undertook. Although these were primarily on L&NWR lines there was considerable overlap with the L&YR.
(The L&Y and LNWR had good relations during the 20th century culminating in a merger on 1st January 1922 in which the L&Y's General Manager and Chief Mechanical Engineer took the same jobs in the enlarged company. A year later they became General Manager and CME of the LMS.)
